UV printing is a unique method of digital printing utilizing ultraviolet (UV) light to dry or cure ink as soon as it’s hit surfaces such as leather, acrylic, metal, etc. The special ink used is formulated to dry quickly when exposed to UV light.
Because the UV lights cure any printed ink immediately, the wet ink do not get a chance to spread out once printed, resulting in much sharper images and finer details. In addition, UV cured inks are weather-resistant and have high level of resistance to abrasion and fading.
At Kulor Cases. we use state of the art UV printing facilities (with Epson print heads) to bring the very best in custom personalized phone cases to our customers.
UV printing technology was originally developed for quickly drying gel nail polishes during manicures!
Durability - UV printed inks are more resistant to scratch, wear rubbing and tear as compared to other eco solvent inks.
Vibrancy – Solvents in conventional inks absorb very quickly into uncoated surfaces. Since UV inks dry immediately during the printing process, the ink is left sitting on top of the leather surface, ultimately giving more vibrant color.
Environmentally friendly– During the UV printing process, there is no volatile organic compounds released into the air.
