To ensure quality craftsmanship, we use a traditional hand-operated hot stamping machine to imprint the leather cases with your initials, names, monogram or something special. You will have the options of Vladimir Script, Josefin Sans and Althea for font types and gold, silver and rose gold for foil stamp color. Most other phone case companies only allow 3 to 4 characters to be debossed, but we at Kulor Cases allow up to 12 characters because we want your case to be uniquely special. We also offer the fastest fulfillment in the industry with personalized items ready for shipment within 1-2 business days.

Hot foil pressing can be done using a manual foil stamping machine for low-volume jobs or an air-powered machine for high volume commercial operations. At Kulor Cases, due to the unique nature of each custom leather phone case order, we only use manual foil stamping machines.
The foiling process is that the design or letters to be rendered in foil is etched onto a metal die. For personalizing leather, the die is heated to 265 degrees F (or 130 degrees C) and the foil is placed between the die and the surface of the leather phone case. When pressure is applied on the die against the foil, the foil bonds to the leather surface, leaving a metallic layer permanently adhered to the leather surface.
As mentioned above, a metal die is required for all foiling process. Metal dies range in price depending the material used and their sizes. Some dies are made from magnesium, which is a cheaper but softer metal, hence they are best suited for non-repetitive low volume jobs. Other metal dies are made made from really strong metal such as copper or brass. Apart from their strength, they are good heat conductors and are best suited for repetitive stamping jobs. In case you’re wondering, we use copper die letter sets for best personalization results on your customized leather phone case.
