VEGETABLE TANNED LEATHER
This method does not use harmful chemicals (vs chromium and aldehyde tanning). It is an artisanal process that leverages the tannic acids naturally found in barks, branches and leaves. Vegetable tanned leather ages perfectly and delivers a better look for your phone case through time.

PREMIUM HIDE QUALITY
Top Grain Leather is the surface of full-grain leather that has not been removed or heavily sanded, preserving the natural qualities of an authentic leather hide. Leather hides are split because a hide is too thick to upholster. The hide goes into a machine where a blade 'splits' the hide into two layers. The bottom layer is known as Split Leather. And the top portion of the above process is Top Grain Leather.

Split leather or “genuine leather” is made from the inner layers that are underneath the top-grain. They are initially light-colored and fuzzy on both the top and bottom of the hide and are embossed with an artificial grain pattern. They are used in less expensive products.
Bonded leather is also called blended leather or PU leather. It is made as a layered structure of a fiber made from shredded leather and a polyurethane coating. And like split leather, it is embossed with an artificial grain pattern. By definition, it has to be only 17% leather.
You will never find split leather, bonded, or even imitation leathers products at Kulör Cases.
