Can I use iPhone X Case for iPhone Xs?

Apple has finally announced the iPhone XS, iPhone XS and iPhone XR. A few of our clients are asking if they could use the iPhone X cases for their iPhone XS. So what's the verdict?

Yes! Most cases (including ours) will fit both the iPhone XS and iPhone X. The iPhone Xs and iPhone X have the exact same height, width, depth and the same layout. However, please note that the camera bump on iPhone Xs is slightly bigger (~1mm) than iPhone X's. So if your original case has a very snug fit around iPhone X's camera bump, you might have to nudge the camera cutout of your case to fit the slightly bigger iPhone XS' camera bump.

So most of the regular cover style iPhone X cases will fit iPhone Xs. But what about iPhone X folio cases? Unfortunately, due to the changes to the arrangement of the Hall Effect sensors in iPhone XS, the wake/sleep function will NOT work when using the iPhone X folio on the iPhone XS, and vice versa.

And just one important side note, the iPhone XS Max and iPhone XR have totally different dimensions and layouts. So if you're getting one of those, please get a new iPhone XS Max case or iPhone XR case.
