It's only 3 days away from the official Apple event where they are expected to announce 3 new iPhones - a 5.8-inch iPhone Xs, a 6.5-inch phone and a 6.1-inch phone. It has been rumored that the 6.5-inch phone will be called "iPhone Xs Plus". But we have just learned that the phone might actually be called "iPhone Xs Max" instead.
This move is actually consistent with what Bloomberg had reported last week:
"While planning the new devices, Apple has altered the names multiple times. It has at least considered branding the new premium phones the "iPhone Xs," indicating that they’re an upgrade to last year’s iPhone X, the person said. The company has also weighed eschewing the "Plus" label for the larger model, which it has used since the iPhone 6 Plus launched with a larger screen in 2014. The final names could be different, the person noted."
Maybe the marketing department over at Apple believes have a name change might give consumers a perception that the 6.5-inch phone is not just bigger than the iPhone Xs, but a better phone in every way. The "Max" name might also help Apple differentiate their larger sized iPhones from Samsung's Galaxy S8/S9 Plus phones.
But whatever the new phone is going to be named, we already have it covered. Our new leather cases for iPhone Xs Max are ready to be launched soon.
