Samsung Galaxy S10 - New Features and Our Leather Cases

Samsung has recently announced their S10 lineup - Galaxy S10, Galaxy S10+, Galaxy S10E and Galaxy S10 5G. The Galaxy S10 5G is a phone designed for the 5G network and will not be available until summer of 2019. As for the S10, S10+ and S10E that come with more mainstream specifications, they will be commercially available starting 8th March.

One of the most talk-about features of Samsung's 2019 flagship smartphones is the Infinity-O screen. It is essentially an edge-to-edge screen (93.1% screen-to-body ratio) with a hole punched in order to fit in the front-facing camera. All the phone sensors are packed and tucked behind this beautiful bright Super AMOLED display.

Another special feature is the new ultrasonic fingerprint sensor that is integrated under the display screen. The sensor works by firing out soundwaves and use their vibrations to create a 3D map of the user's fingerprint. It is possibly the most elegant way to integrate a fingerprint sensor.

Triple-camera is the norm for flagship smartphones these days and the S10 and both the Galaxy S10 and Galaxy S10 Plus have three rear cameras that will be great for shooting panoramas and in tight spaces.

In terms of processing power, Samsung has come up with two different specifications for EMEA and US & China markets:

EMEA - Exynos 9820 Octa (8 nm), CPU: Octa-core (2x2.7 GHz Mongoose M4 & 2x2.3 GHz Cortex-A75 & 4x1.9 GHz Cortex-A55), GPU: Mali-G76
US, China - Qualcomm SDM855 Snapdragon 855 (7 nm), CPU: Octa-core (1x2.8 GHz Kryo 485 & 3x2.4 GHz Kryo 485 & 4x1.7 GHz Kryo 485), GPU: Adreno 640
